Only the event’s winner receives the rewards in the red box at the top of the leaderboard. Throughout the event you can collect the rewards in the blue, purple, and orange boxes by accumulating enough applause and achieve the subgoals,
I was in second/third place in the Steal the Spotlight event but I never received my rewards.
